About Web Sense
My name is Jim Cullen and I run Web Sense Solutions. I have over 10 years commercial website marketing experience, having worked for a number of small companies in both an IT and marketing capacity before setting up my own consultancy in 1998. I was the first in Scotland to offer Internet Marketing training courses to businesses at that time.
I joined Edinburgh web agency Run Deep as Online Marketing Manager in 2000 and have since expanded and developed my knowledge and expertise in a range of online marketing fields. After 5 years, I left Run Deep to start up my own consultancy - Web Sense Solutions.
My knowledge base covers SEO (search engine optimisation), link development, online PR, and web analytics.
My background is in both IT (former programmer) and marketing (Honours degree graduate) but my approach is very much marketing-led. I've worked with major public sector clients such as Scottish Enterprise and NHS Scotland, as well as numerous private sector clients including the Gleneagles Hotel and Highland Spring.
Over the years, I've put together many successful online marketing campaigns and also written articles on Web Marketing published by The Scotsman and New Media Age.
